Recent analysis by Citywire highlights the investment managers demonstrating consistent performance despite a period of heightened market volatility and uncertainty.
Drawing on the Alexforbes Multi-Manager Watch surveys from January to May 2026, the article identifies Mentenova among a relatively small group of managers that have continued to feature prominently across multiple mandates and time horizons.
Of particular note, Mentenova Local Equity ranked second over the three-, five- and seven-year periods, delivering an annualised return of 15.77% over seven years, compared with its benchmark’s 13.42%. Mentenova Wealth Builder was also highlighted among the larger higher-equity portfolios, with R17.8 billion under management.
The findings reinforce an important theme from the research: while short-term rankings may shift, consistency over longer periods provides a more meaningful lens through which to assess investment performance.
